Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another Day - yesterday was just another yesterday and tomorrow, well who the hell knows! Started the day by rolling over and hitting the snooze bar - always hit snooze three times - do you have rituals that you go through every day - hit the snooze bar three times - left foot out of bed first but right foot must touch floor first - kind of a race but in slow motion - always walk to kitchen first thing to see if coffee is made - love the timer on the coffee machine - I set it so it just finishes brewing (takes 7 minutes 33 seconds ) as I round the corner of the kitchen - clean cup from cupboard and I put two ice cubes in the cup to cool first cup down just a bit so I can drink it quick - no, never three ice cubes, that would be just silly - stand at kitchen window and watch the back yard - winter time it is dark but I still look out - slog down coffee than refill and head for rest of morning rituals, shower, etc. - today was good day at work - nothing stands out as memorable - came home, had some chicken and salad and then went and helped with some home remodeling - I am not all that handy with most stuff - but I can cut wood and nail it up - my specialty is lawn mowing - of course, if you think about it all you really do with lawn mowing is walk behind the machine and try not to get hurt by the high speed blade - I haven't been hurt yet, so that is a plus, I guess - watering, I do OK at watering - the rest of the stuff not so much - well maybe painting, but not really very patient with that - what was the news today? - oh I see someone killed a wolf - one lost child was returned by mother that kidnapped him - what else? - stock market off - boy I need to read a paper or watch the news once in awhile - maybe tomorrow - and that is that - don't stay up too late - what is too late?
