Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another Day - a bright and beautiful day in the state that protects endangered species until they are plentiful and then opens up hunting season on them soon after - started the day with the usual coffee explosion - love that stuff - I even find myself mixing a little cold coffee in with some juice and diet lemon-lime soda for a nasty little taste sensation that is sweeping the nation - taste bud extravaganza - tend to mix up foods into strange combinations - not strange to me - one persons strange is another's salsa and ranch dressing - did you hear about the psychiatrist that was crazy and the court ordered treatment along with probation for beating someone - now who treats a psychiatrist or a psychologist? Are there super psychiatrists trained to treat other psychiatrists - would they have to be thoroughly screened for any mental defects in order to treat others in their field - maybe they would be immune to crazy - just a thought - a crazy thought - I have come to the conclusion that I do not handle too many sensory inputs well - that is to say I am easily distracted from task if there is background noise or a shiny nickel on the ground - is that attention deficit disorder? or is it just simple minded? freak of nature - oh, got a little off track - today was pretty good - work flowed well - home for dinner and a little time with my favorite grand kids - not too much else going on - didn't really see any news so not sure what is happening outside of my immediate line of vision right now - it is still 2009 and will be for at least another week, maybe longer - I guess longer because I haven't had a birthday yet this year and it is still a ways away - OK then, let's wrap it up, put a bow on it and give this day to the ages - what are you looking at? I thought so - bye!

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - yes I said Madman - want me to say it again? Just another Day! A very pleasant day in our little community - as far as I know no one was sad or no one was hurt or no one was hungry and life was beautiful all the way around - as far as I know - started the day with about three quarters of a gallon (or so) of finest blend Colombian coffee - for those on the metric system that is about half a kilometer of Colombian coffee - I think it is still spelled the same - coffee that is - not sure about Colombian - very peaceful day - a lot of time on the patio enjoying the moderate weather - football on the TV this evening - come to think of it today was very nice in all aspects - did I say today is Sunday - today is Sunday - did you go to church today? - me either - basic fundamental reasons probably not the same reason most don't go but that is my own private issue - did you hear about California's budget issues? - I hear they are having a garage sale to liquidate excess items to raise money - reminds me of earlier times when we would have a garage sale to raise some extra money and get rid of mostly junk from around the house - after the first day we would take the cash from the garage sale and go buy a couple of cases of Rainier pounders, bag of Doritos, bean dip and a fifth of Black Velvet - then over to a guy we know to pick up an oz of dirt weed (remember this was a long time ago) - party all night like a house full of red necks - one late run for more beer - get up the next day and try to sell off whatever was left and by the end of the weekend have a garbage can full of beer bottles, a hangover and maybe a muffin tin full of change left to pay the bills for the next month - is that what California is aiming for? - when some countries run into problems they invade neighboring countries - does California have an Army? - would they dare? - well, time is up and I think time is down - so long for now - have you seen my kitty?

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - you know they are just ramblings, right? Another day in the world that is the fantastic life of a rock star - in the country that produces the greatest rockers in the world - Southwest Idaho - birth place of rock and roll - started the day like most Saturday's - oh did I mention it is the weekend - it is the weekend - gotta love a Saturday - well you don't gotta but this is a great day - yard work is done for the week - getting pretty tired of mowing but the time spent pushing a grass cutting machine around the yard is time to reflect on issues and life in general - important issues like how much time is spent looking at a computer screen - really should limit time on the Internet - funny for a guy posting blogs several times a week - it was neat to see the displays and items at the fair - to know those people are still involved in those crafts and hobbies and past times - anyone think of a topic - can't really think of any local or national issues that stir my mud today - stir my mud? - what the hell - I meant mud my stir - Ted Kennedy buried today - take a minute to reflect - football on TV - just read that preseason games don't really count but as the writer noted freakin' regular season games don't count for anything either, like the spelling Ither, it is a game, a distraction, love the time of year though - and the distraction - speaking of Bogans, I found Big Larry, actually he called collect wanting to borrow a shovel and seven and a half foot piece of hemp rope, I don't ask questions - crap I didn't ask about Henry - running down, down, down - is it getting dark? moving to the dark side - talk to you later - I promise - just rambling you know.

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Yes Just another Day in the sweet valley we treasure, where the life giving nectar runs plentiful and potatoes are king - Idaho is famous for potatoes right? Couldn't tell you where the nearest potato field is - must be in another part of this great state - have you really ever considered that you live in a freakin' state that is famous for a tuber grown in the ground - nice - and yes today started with opening eyes - not sure if I open one then the other or both at same time - I will pay more attention - day was good, busy this week, good, nothing unusual at work - came home had a little din din - now that sounds stupid - din din - forget I said that - I ate dinner and then out for some visiting - nice evening - topics? topics anyone? nope, except the pin heads that pass for political figure heads in this state, one made a comment about Obama tags - nice job dumb ass - Idaho already has a bad rep and you make some remark about wolf tags and Obama tags - better vote that guy in quick! - send him to Warshington and get them boys straightened out back there - wow - underwhelming! - and so what is happening in your neck of the woods? - I do have an idea for a new reality show on TV - it involves high paid executives and hammer blows to their heads - see how many blows they can take in a given period and still function at their job - the winner gets a million dollars! Loser gets life support! What do you think? Will it compete with 'John and Kate"? or whatever the hell it is called - wowsie wowsie woo woo woo - I am too negative today - think positive and the world thinks positive of you - ha,ha,ha,ha,ha freakin good stuff boy - energy level is just about gone - starting to lean to one side - send me your thoughts and wishes - how do you say goodbye in another language?

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another Day - did I ever tell you about my tag line of 'Just another Day!" - one New Years Eve in Las Vegas I was on an elevator with a gentleman dressed in a tuxedo - I said hello and asked him how he was doing and he said "Just another Day!" - a matter of perspective - here I was a spud from Idaho having a once in a lifetime experience in Vegas and to this penguin it was just another day - that one encounter stuck with me - Just another Day - and it is - started by waking (not baking), caffeine load, work, busy day with minimal down time - home for a change of clothes and off to the Western Idaho State Fair - an experience of its own - love fair food - afraid I was going to get sick - meatball sandwich and ice cream and lemonade make for a little tummy rumble - I enjoy watching the people as much as the exhibits, rides or vendors - I must say it takes a special person to work the fairs traveling from town to town hawking your wares - does anyone know the lyrics to the song 'Hurt' by Nine Inch Nails - let me know - what are your favorite lyrics - one of mine is from Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" - 'To be a rock and not to roll' - the meaning of life is contained within the lyrics of that song - if a scientist could unlock the key to those lyrics we would know all there is to know about life and our existence - anyway I bet it is like that - Pink Floyd has some awesome lyrics too - wish I knew some of them - by the way which one is Pink? - let us see - Senator Kennedy passed away overnight - the history books are mixed on him - let's concentrate on what positive things he did - not much else going on - guess Boise State has a foot ball game coming up -what else is going on, and on and on and on - not all my friends have homes - think about that shit - so long from beautiful downtown Downtown - until I meet again - bye!

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another Day - just another day in the life of a man, a man with a dream, a man with a dream about monkeys - Wow, look at that crazy monkey! - and yes, ha ha today started as most days start, by waking and staring into the gaping maw that is the world waiting to grab you by the neck and push your face straight into the day - did you ever notice that each day starts the same? it is from then on that it takes some twists and turns that make it unique - a good day at work, busy so the day was occupied and traveled through quite nicely - home from work but a very restful and peaceful evening - a little dinner then a siesta - checked out my yard and picked a handful of cherry tomatoes - natures candy on a vine - trying to think of any earth shattering topics that might be of interest - seems the idea of government involvement and oversight when it comes to the welfare and well being of children is a hot topic - discussion is always good - didn't watch any news tonight or today really - so much for discussing topics ha, ha - loser ha ha - do you have issues with eating with a moustache? when it gets long enough every drink or bite drags through your hair on your lip - funky observation - wonder if eating hair is bad? God damn Big Larry is still avoiding me, i could use that twenty bucks he owes me - some one said they saw him around the Stage Stop - does anyone have any questions? No? come back when you have a question? or just come back - that is all for now and that is nothing for now - goodbye my friends and neighbors!

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another day - welcome to the jungle - what a beautiful day - yes I am rambling in the middle of the day - no crap about how I pried my ass out of bed and stumbled to the kitchen to inject a hot load of caffeine directly into an artery or is it vein? and how nothing too exciting happened at work and then I came home had a little dinner and sat contemplating world crises for two hours before scribbling something down and feeling satisfied that I solved some world problem with diarrhea that leaked from an opening in my brain - you will get none of that today - well maybe later if I think of something - but for now I am just going to tell you what a nice day it has been because if anyone thinks taking a Monday off from work is a great idea please raise your hand! - I thought so - has anyone seen my friend Big Larry? - he owes me twenty dollars and if I don't remind him every few days then he considers it paid back - his rule of borrowing money - bug him about it or it didn't happen - did someone ask about the frequency to which I submit to this blog? No - well I will tell you any way - I may go days without contributing but it is not because I cannot think of stuff to smear on the page but because I am too lazy to do it - I also write a few lines in a paper and pen journal and sometimes that will just completely wipe me out - energy level depletion - I think it must be the pen to paper friction that will drain your will to go any further - or maybe it is something else - OK that is just about enough - has anyone seen the news today? - me either - bye kids!

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another day - stumbling and bumbling through the hours that make up a day - winding down another August but it just so happens this August is in the year 2009 - started my day by opening my eyes - but if you know me even with my eyes open I still look like I need to open my eyes so my stating that I opened my eyes to start my day it may appear to some that I am still not awake - went through the day and it was fairly uneventful - nothing that I can recall that was out of the ordinary or rambling worthy - I do want to comment briefly on the local story of the young boy that went missing and turns out his mother and the mother's boyfriend are probably the one's who killed him - it is a tragedy and probably more sensationalized because the public was involved in a massive search but I am not sure anyone will ever be able to stop these types of tragedies but one thing to take away from this story is to be aware of those around you and pay attention to those you care for - more government oversight and involvement is not the answer - more parent and relative oversight and involvement is preferred - enough of that - what is for breakfast? Hell, what is for dinner? I saw an interesting Dilbert cartoon in which a consultant is spouting nonsense and is paid big bucks to consult - "Don't ping my cheese with your bandwidth!" - love that - hits close to home with some of the funny stuff that is thrown out there and makes little or no sense - not like this most important information that I am sharing with the world - pay attention! You don't want to miss any of this! But I am running out of crap to spew so goodbye and goodbye!

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Not just another day - who am I kidding it was just another day - hell they are all just another day - some better than others but really just another day - not that any of them are really that bad, well some are pretty god damn bad but those are few and far between and the good days are far more plentiful - sometimes it is just how you view the day - and I don't mean by viewing it from a haze of alcohol or herb or something more deadly, actually I don't know what I mean but you know what I mean, right? The day started out good, woke up, coffee, whole morning routine - work was ok, nothing special, lunch, breaks, work and so forth. Came home, has a very nice few hours with the kids, my little friends - you can take away my fairy powers but you can't take away my light, some people keep their light in their eyes but I keep my light in my heart - I was listening to a discussion on the economic recovery today and the argument was how leading indicators are or are not showing a positive sign to a recovery - and it was the same happy horse shit that you hear whenever two sides dick with the facts to strengthen their argument - who knows which one will be right in the end because at some point the economy will recover it is just to what degree and how soon. But I do like that term "happy horse shit" - where do you think that came from? Is it a version of bullshit - because we can identify that term - we all know the meaning of bullshit, so is it a more elegant animal the horse? and what is happy? the horse or the horse shit? Please don't think about it too much - more important things to think about - but right now I am running out of gas - sputter, sputter, choke, gasp - bye ha ha bye!

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Not just another day in the life of a movie star with over 100 movies to my credit - or I mean I have watched over one hundred movies - well actually I have watched maybe 4 movies but I would like to be a movie star - or maybe just watch a movie. A very nice day under way - woke early and started day by reading and just easing into the weekend - did a few chores around the house, lawn work and such. Chillin' a little now and watching some pre-season NFL football. Had someone ask me why I tend to repeat myself sometimes and I must direct you to my Corporate Mission Statement - section 3, paragraph 3, sentence 15 and again repeated in sentence 16 which states "the purpose of repeatedly repeating words and phrases is to piss off the feeble minded individuals that think repeating words and phrases is reason to ask why I repeat words and phrases. I repeat...." Trying to think of something that may be of interest to write about but nothing comes to mind right away - so I guess I will resume this form of communication another day. Bye kids and others!

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another day - palm trees and white sand - An unusually cool August day in this year called 2009 - started the day like most days - woke up - ha,ha,ha, that never gets old - nothing of terrible importance going on at work, just work - had a nice lunch with loved one and fairly quiet afternoon - came home and turned around to go back out to have some pizza with other loved ones - a day of having meals with loved ones - very enjoyable - now back relaxing drinking a cup of Brazilian coffee which I find most enjoyable - like the after taste - sneaker coffee taste - you probably wonder why I sometime have sentence structure and punctuation and other times don't - me too - I wonder the same thing - sometimes I wonder it out loud and people look at me funny - not funny like laugh funny but funny like weird funny. Not much going on that I can bring to mind although I am toying with the idea of running for President of the United States. Everyone should consider serving in our government at one point or another and I am going to skip over running for Mayor of Stage Stop, ID or even state seats, hell if I am going to run for an office it might as well be something big! Now I have no illusions of ever being taken seriously for President, I just want to spend a couple of years flying around the U.S. making an ass out of myself. I say that because that is what would happen, I can't imagine I could give a well thought out opinion on any subject other than maybe what I like in a good cup of coffee. I can see it now, shaking hands with well wishers on the campaign trail with reporters and TV cameras around and I reach down and scratch my balls, not just a light brush on the outside of my jeans (yes, I would probably wear jeans) but a full reach down the front of my pants and give a good old four finger rasping of the boys. And of course it would be caught on TV and the reporters would write in great detail about the look of satisfaction I had on my face as I was in the act. I would become the ball scratching candidate and probably wouldn't have to shake many hands after that. Oh but a boy can dream - and then he wakes up - wakes up in Southwest Idaho and wonders what did I do to deserve this - starting to drift a little so see you down the trail and keep your eyes on the road boys, eyes on the road!

Ramblings of an American Madman
Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another day in the grand life of a resident of Idaho - freakin' outpost of the west - A beautiful summer day in the year of the rat face dog 2009 -started the day like most other days - rolled out of bed and slogged down a little coffee while starring out the kitchen window - one of my great pleasures is the coffee - having a little Kenya blend - love the African sourced blends - along with Mexican coffee's and anything non Asian - don't get me wrong I will drink anything but have my preferences - not anything too exciting at work - very busy but the day goes by nicely - home from work and a little dinner then mowed kids lawn while they are out of town - trying to think of anything local or globally to comment about - let us see - still debating the healthcare issue in this country - something about this issue really stirs people up - not sure why people get so upset - first you hear how the healthcare in the US is such a piss poor set up and something must be done so more people can get medical care - but when someone tries to change something another faction bitches about how the government will mess up the healthcare system if it gets involved - hate to tell them but the government has been involved for quite sometime (Medicare / Medicaid / etc). Well, my train of thought has run out of track for today so I will say so long for now - good bye and so long - so long and good bye!
