Ramblings of an American Madman

Ramblings of an American Madman - Just another Day - just another day in the life of a world disaster weather reporter - very unique profession, traveling the world from disaster to disaster reporting on the weather conditions at the site of the disaster - very busy lately doing on site reporting of the cold temps and snow fall amounts in NE Japan and then quickly flying to Libya to give first hand accounts of the continued dry spell and how that affects the sand storms in the area. No mention of the actual disaster of the area is allowed in the weather reporting (unspoken code of disaster weather reporters) as that would take away from the focus of the weather conditions surrounding the disaster - if you want to know about the disaster turn the damn channel to CNN - but if the 10 day forecast for Benghazi is important to you, stay tuned! So...what is happening in your world?
An hour and fifteen minutes into the day and so far it is a great day - started this morning with a cup and a half of re-heated coffee while waiting for the new pot to brew - it plans to think ahead - a little coffee left in the pot and a cup of cold coffee waiting by the coffee maker, which is by the way ready to go with new grounds and water, just need to push the go button - warm the waiting cup in the microwave for 52 seconds (optimum heating time for drinking pleasure) and chug that down while new coffee brewing mixes with coffee left in pot - here is where it is critical that you have the stop and pour feature on your machine because before the pot completes brewing I am ready for another jolt and I can refill my cup with the mix of old and new and never have to wait for the magic elixir machine to finish before I need to refill my cup - it pays to have a plan - are you paying attention world?
Not too much happening in the news these days - college basketball playoffs have started - go Zags - my buddy Charlie Sheen has been having some contract issues or something, I did hear that he is thinking about making 'Major League 3', that would be sweet - happy to report the ducks are back and feeding in the front yard again, sure sign of something - the economy seems to be rebounding nicely, it must be doing better because grocery stores are bitching about having too much business on the first day of the month when the food stamps are issued, I guess that is a good sign when you complain about having too much business, maybe a bill could be passed in the legislature or something - let me know if you hear about anything else going on in the world.
I do have a prediction - a major earthquake will hit the west coast of the United States within the next 4 - 6 weeks, just a gut feeling.
Yes, it has been too long since my last entry in this fine piece of blogging journalism - time just seems to get away - I am making a new years resolution to stay in touch with my 80,000 or so readers more frequently - how else would most of them learn about world events if they didn't read it here first - stay tuned world!
Big Larry has been on this kick the last little bit about preparing for disasters - he seems to think that some disaster may happen and supplies will be in demand - so he has been stocking up on salt and pepper - he said everyone else may concentrate on bottled water or dry beans or such but has anyone really given much thought to spices? Big Larry now has about 40 or 50 of the little individual packets of salt and pepper - not much but he takes a few extra each time he gets a hot dog at the Stage Stop - way to think ahead BL - take note world.
It was a nightmare - the crossword puzzle missing clues - the road with stop signs placed every ten feet - the elevator with an up button but no down button - a bank open one minute one day of the week - a story with no beginning and no conclusion - it was a nightmare.
Why do birds fly from one branch to another in the same tree? Let's ask around - Bye winning Bye!
